Unity Stamp Co & Paper Issues Blog Hop

Hey Everyone,
I am so excited to be a part of this amazing blog hop.
I not only get to play with my favourite Unity Stamps
but I also had the latest Paper Issues Kit to use as well!!
HOW LUCKY AM I?
Very lucky.
If you have just started here, welcome.
Otherwise, you should have just arrived from the very talented
This Blog Hop is all about PINK and the theme is
"Believe In Yourself" (Breast Cancer Awareness).
Here is my layout using Unity Stamp Co Stamps and Paper Issues Kit.

This is my very good friend Maria, she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008.
She is the most positive person I know, she is such a strong person.
She had an operation and some chemotherapy,
and I am happy to say that she is in the clear.
It just shows what a positive attitude can do.

Here are some close-ups:

I used gesso on my chipboard title, then I used the Heidi Swapp mist,
from the kit to spray onto the chipboard.
"It's All Worth It." is part of the Unity Stamp Kit I used.

The bumblebee is also from the Unity Stamp set.
I have journalled on the tag that says Maria from the Paper Issues Kit.
It is hidden journalling as her experience is
quite private and I wanted to stay true to that.

Loads of layering.  And how adorable are those little women cut outs?
Also part of the Paper Issues Kit.

To achieve the background I used a stamp from Unity and used white embossing powder.
I then rubbed the Heidi Swapp mist over the top.
It formed such a beautiful border around the whole page.

There really is so much you can do with this stamp kit.
Such beautiful and heartfelt sentiments from Melody Ross.
The frame from the stamp set can be used in so many different ways.

The finishing touch was hanging these beautiful
hearts and butterflies from the Paper Issues Kit.

I was so impressed by what is in the kit, I am going to be keeping an eye out at their etsy store for future kits.  Everything you need to make a layout or card.
Loved it all!!

Their kit will be sold from the Etsy Store here for $14 and if you use the
code: UNITY you will receive a massive 20% off your order!!
There are some really cool products on their as well.

Case File 39 - Enjoy the Moments That Make You Smile

Hey Everyone,
I have another Case File ready.  I have so enjoyed all these challenges over at
CSI: Color Stories Inspiration.  Just from doing 3 weeks worth of challenges,
I feel my work has been getting better and I am challenged weekly by the color palette and the journalling aspect, as I don't always include alot of journalling.
Here is this weeks Case File:

Here is my interpretation of the Case and the Sketch.

I loved this color palette.  I had loads of fun using gesso and my favourite Unity Stamps.

I have flipped the sketch.

Part of the Evidence was to use a bird.  He is so cute!

I used a craft knife to half cut the butterfly to make it pop up.  I sprayed some white flowers also to get the perfect colors for this challenge.

In the background you can see the Book Page, out of one of my mums favourite Jackie Collins books and it was perfect as you can see the word Mama.

Some more Unity Stamp and some muslin.

I am just so in love with the Giant Butterfly stamp from Unity.  It is behind the title.  And another butterfly charm dangling from the word "Smile"

My Evidence (Journalling) was:
All I need to know I learned from my Mum.
She is the most compassionate, selfless and giving person I know.
Her smile lights up a room.
My only hope is that I can teach my children to be that same kind of person.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

I am having a child free weekend in Canberra,
for my sister-in-laws hens party and I can't wait!!!
