Happy Days

Hi There Friends,

Today I am sharing with you a layout I made as a Special Investigator

This is Case File 147

I love the sketch that we got to play with.

Here is my take.

My EVIDENCE: Circles, Polka Dots, Grid Pattern and Stamps.

My TESTIMONY: I wrote my journalling in the form of an advice column.
Advice to my two boys.  It is on the front and back of the tag which is hidden
behind the main photo.

Here are some close-ups:

I used some washi.  I made my grid lines using paint and a palette knife.

Love the chipboard circles with the chevrons from WOW.

Thank you so much for stopping by!!

Throw Your Arms Around Me

Hi There,

Today I am sharing with you a new Case File for CSI: Color Stories Inspiration.

This is a special case file for Scrap 365.
You have the entire month to enter this one.

The colors on this case file are really subtle, but so pretty together.

Here is my take on the challenge.

I have used the entire color palette:

My EVIDENCE: Music Elements (Sheet Music Stamp), Mist, Heart, Scatter Something (Hearts) and String.

My TESTIMONY: I hand wrote the journalling on the background as well as writing the journalling as a Thank You Note.

Here are some close-ups:

My journalling as a Thank You Note to my mum.
I have so much to thank her for.

I got out some of my heart punches and started punching some scraps of paper
that matched the color palette.

I scattered them everywhere, I loved how it turned out.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Eungella - At One With Nature

Hi There,

I am super excited to be named as a guest designer for
CSI:  Color, Stories, Inspiration for the month of November.

I absolutely love entering their challenges.
They get you to think outside the square, and use colors you may not normally put together.

This is the current challenge, for the entire month of November.
So you have heaps of time to enter this one.

The trick to these challenges is to stick to the color palette,
you are able to use Black, white or Brown.
Pick two pieces of Evidence
and one from the Testimony.

Here is my take on the challenge.

Here are some close-ups:

I made a mixed media background using textured paste, sprays and paint.

Some pretty flowers and lace.

A bird accent and some florist vine to frame the photo.

The Turquoise blue really pops off the page.

This is a recent photo I took of a day trip to Eungella National Park.
We went to the Broken River in search of platypus.

Be Awesome Always

Hi There Everyone,

Today I would like to share with you a layout I made for
Scrap Elegance Scrapbooking Supplies.

I used the Fancy Pants Everyday Circus Collection.

I love all the bright colors in this collection.

Here are some close-ups:

The corrugated paper is part of the range, and I got a little inky with it.

All the tags in this range are super cute, and I journalled on a tag, that is
hidden behind the photo.

Head on over to the Scrap Elegance Facebook page to see
how you can get your hands on this range and instructions on how to make the layout.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Imagine the Beauty - Believe in the Strength

Hey There,

It's been such a long time since my last blog, I thought I may have forgotten how to do it!
Let alone how to scrapbook.

Some of you may not know that I have been studying,
and my scrapbooking was pushed aside for a little while.

But now, I am free.
And it is school holidays.

So why not enter some challenges?

The first I would like to share has been a work in progress.

I decided to enter the Once Upon A Sketch Challenge.
It is my first time entering this challenge.
Here is the sketch:

Here is my take on the sketch:

You are free to interpret our theme ANY WAY you like. Whilst the theme is open, you MUST base it on the sketch below and include your HANDWRITTEN journalling ON YOUR PAGE. Acceptable journalling is MORE than just a sentence, or generic writing such as date/place etc. It needs to be present and at least 3 lines long.

Here are some close-ups:

I just love all the colors in this Prima Range - Free Spirit.

Aren't these flowers so pretty!

Loads of layers on this layout.

The pictures in this layout have been taken by Tess G Photography.
And the model is my sister in law Katrina.
She is stunning and would look amazing in a potato sack!!

I got to have a play with my Shimmerz - Inkglinz collection.
I am in love with them!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Our Boy

Hi There,

Today I wanted to share with you another challenge that I entered this week.
I absolutely love CSI challenges.  They get the creative juices flowing.

Here is the challenge:

I would not have usually used these colors, but that is exactly what the
challenges are about!

Here is my take on the challenge:

So happy with how this turned out.
The colors go so well together.

Here are some close-ups:

The background paper is from the Kaisercraft Base Coat Collection.

I really enjoyed getting grungy.

I got to use the new Georgia Heald Stamp - Zips.  I had been dying to play with it.

Lots of stamps used on this layout.

The journalling is tucked behind the picture.
I journalled in the form of a quiz.
I asked Lucas a heap of questions.
And he gave me his answers.
Like how I am his only girlfriend.
How cute is that!!!

We Just Clicked

Hello Friends,

Here a layout I have made using the Scrappy Chat Designs May Kit Release.

This layout I made with two inspirations.
This photo was taken in Gladstone last year.
I got to meet Stacey Young.  I have been a big fan of her work.
But the bonus was, that she was an amazing person as well.

The other inspiration was Fiona Paltridge.
She uses watercolors in a lot in her layouts.
I watched a video of hers and I wanted to give it a try.

Here is my layout:

To purchase this kit or to see a step by step tutorial on how it was
made head on over to the Scrappy Chat Designs Blog.

Here are a couple of close ups:

I had lots of fun trying a new technique and using stamps and colors.

Love how bright the colours turned out.
