Little Girl Believes

Hey There,

Just wanted to share a card that I made this week using Unity Stamp Company stamp "Little Girl Believes".

Had so much fun using my copic markers with this stamp.

I tied the bow using the Unity Stamp Co. Bow Maker.  I could never make the perfect bow.  But now I can and it is so easy to use!

The background is made up of the Tim Holtz Music Notes Tissue Tape.

Hope you all have a fantastic week.

Scrap the Boys April Challenge

Hey Everyone,

Have so many projects to blog about at the moment and I am a little behind.

Today I wanted to share with you my layout for Scrap the Boys.  This is for the April Challenge.

RE-CYCLING....

We would like you to re-cycle some form of PACKAGING that is BOY related, this could be toy related, scrapbooking packaging, something from a magazine or book use your imagination....

Been feeling like I might have lost a little mojo there, but I had so much fun with this one.  That is why it is so much fun to be on a Design Team like "Scrap the Boys" because it forces you to think outside the square when you are faced with a creative block.

I am totally in love with all things Washi Tape at the moment.  I got this tyre tread washi tape from Lime Tart.
I also used a zig zag stamp from the March SMAK Kit from Unity Stamp Co.

I used the packaging from my boys Tonka Trucks which were given to them at Christmas Time.

I journalled on a raw chipboard star.

The true STORY stamp once again from Unity Stamp Company.  Can you see who my favourite company is?  I use their gorgeous stamps all the time!

Love a little hessian.  And once again the Tonka packaging re-cycled.

You have until the 11th May to give this challenge a go over at Scrap the Boys.  Would love to see what you can come up with!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration - Case File 15

Hey Everyone,

I have had a little break with my kids for the last two weeks.  It is school holidays here in Australia and I have had so much fun taking the kids to the beach, to the farm and swimming, that I have not had any time to create.

That all changed yesterday when I received an email from CSI: Color Stories Inspiration.  They had released Case File 15 and I loved the colors.  I already had an idea in my head, and by the afternoon it was done.  Just the way I imagined it to be.

I had received from Unity Stamp Company last week, my SMAK Kit and I decided to purchase the add-on kit.  Best decision I made!!!  Loved it.  It was all puzzle pieces and puzzle stamps.  I have in my stash a puzzle punch, so it all came together from there.

I used a zig zag stamp out of my March SMAK Kit. And more of the puzzle stamps.

Using the puzzle punch I had, I made a masque.  Then I used different coloured Glimmer Mist to spray for a background.  Then I layered puzzle pieces to the top.

More Unity Stamp Co Stamps.  I am so in love with my stamps!!! lol

I used some Purple Pumpkin Twine to wrap around some puzzle pieces.  And those cute cards are Tim Holtz Alpha Cards.

This is what the case file looks like:

So head on over and give it a try.  I thought I might have lost my mojo a little as I hadn't scrapped for at least two weeks, but now I have so many ideas. So stay tuned.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my page.

Scrap the Boys March Challenge

Hey Everyone,

There is still time to submit your layout for this months Layout Challenge.

Here is the criteria:

CREATE A LAYOUT USING THE FOLLOWING TITLE...

LIFE IS GOOD

THE COLOUR RED MUST ALSO BE ON YOUR LAYOUT SOMEWHERE AND HANDWRITTEN JOURNALING.

Here is my take on this months Challenge:

I would have to say that this layout has become one of my favourites.  I love the photo of my two boys, they are gorgeous (well I think so).  I got to play with my favourite Unity Stamp Company stamps.  Did some misting.

I love it when you can visualise something and it comes together just the way you imagined it.

Would love to see what you come up with.  Head on over to Scrap the Boys.  You still have until this Saturday the 31st March.

Thanks for stopping by.

ART Journal

Hey Everyone,

Thought I would share my latest journal page, which is a creative journey I get to experience with Tracy Weinzapfel Studios.  I purchased a kit and we get to work in our art journals via UStream.

I have blotted the background.  I used a Distress ink pad for the outside and the stamping.

This is a close up of this beautiful stamp from Unity Stamp Company.  I am not too sure of the name of this one as it was a bonus in one of the fantastic sales they have on.  The background stamp is also a Unity Stamp Company stamp called "Royal Day".

Who Doesn't Love An Owl?

Hi There,

Today I wanted to share with you a card I made using the Unity Stamp Co. - Stamp of the Week.  I love that the most amazing stamps rock up in the mail to me every week.  It is so exciting!

Had loads of fun making this card.  Used a Martha Stewart Edge Punch to add some layers along the side as my "tree trunk" and then a Dusty Attic - mini branch chipboard as my branch.

Thanks for stopping by.

Monochromatic Layout

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to share with you a page I have done only using the colours Yellow and White.  This was a little challenge set for me by a very good friend.  And boy did I have some fun!!

I started off with white cardstock, and used tissue paper and Helmar Decoupage and Craft Paste.  This created my background.  I then added textured paste and paint.

I used the Tim Holz Mini Rosettes Dies to make the white rosette and the button is from
The Chip Chop Shop.  One of my favourite places to visit.

I have handmade this twine wheel, by cutting out a circle and adding glue then following round the circle with the twine, working from the inside out, then adding a button on top.  The little circle for the journalling is also from the Chip Chop Shop.

It really does feel great to challenge yourself, and its always more fun with a little help from your friends.

Thanks for stopping by.
