It's Showtime

Hello There,

I really don't know when this rain is ever going to stop.  The constant feeling of wet feet is driving me mad, but the flip side is that it is no where near as humid and hot as it has been.

Here is my latest contribution to the Colour Room this week.  Love the colours in this palette:
I had so much fun doing this page.  I got to blow paint through a straw to get the speckled look in the background.  I was also able to use Gesso for the first time and then paint the Aqua over the top and around the outside of the page.  I used some crackle paint, gauze, glimmermist, buttons, sparkling H2'Os and ink.  I made all the pinwheel embellishments, which was loads of fun also.  Took me back to when I went to the show as a kid and you always went home with a spinning pinwheel on a stick!

Thank you so much for checking my blog out!

Hopefully same time next week I can tell you how fabulous the weather is!!

We Are Brothers

Hi There Everyone,

I am soooo excited this week.  I have done a page with inspiration from the colour room, using their palette and a technique from one of the designers.  I had so much fun creating lots of layers in the background.  I am really happy with the finished product and this page is one of my favourites.
I have stamped the right hand side of the page, then whitewashed over it.  I texture pasted the left side then used glimmer mist  and used the Dusty Attic Brick Wall chipboard as a mask.  I clear embossed the rough and tumble and then misted.  I used texture paste and paint the brick wall and then all the other elements are either embossed, painted or misted.

Thanks for checking out my page.  Got to scrap with a great friend.  Hope you have an awesome weekend!  I am off to see Usher this weekend.

Well as the rain continues to fall here in Far North Queensland it has given me the opportunity to get to my computer and upload my entry for the Dusty Attic March Sketch Challenge.  And here it is:
Using the Dusty Attic Chicken Wire 12 x 12 chipboard and some crackle paint is where it all began and with two scrapbooking catch-ups with friends this was the end design.

Now to start my next project............
Stay safe everyone xo
