Case File 199 - #selfie

Hi There,

Time for another Case File from CSI: Color Stories Inspiration.

This week it is Case File 199.

Here is my take on the case file.

I loved the colors in this case file.

I decided to do something different and scrap myself.

So I got my instax polaroid camera out, and took a selfie.

#no-make-up!

My Evidence is: Frame, Flowers and Camera.

My Testimony is:  Frame Your Journaling.

Case File 197 - Remember Life Is Precious

Hey There,

Today's release of Case File 197 for 

CSI: Color Stories Inspiration

is a really special one for me as I have created a

layout that is a picture of myself and my beautiful friend Prue.

She passed away a few weeks ago and I wanted

to create something special to document our friendship.

My Evidence is: Chalkboard Elements, Flowers and a Bicycle.

My Testimony is:  Get Inspiration from Easy Street Prompts and my word was CROSSROADS.

Here is my journaling, which is hidden on a tag behind the photo mat:  "My beautiful precious Prue.  You were an inspiration to so many people.  You were infectious.  It was a perfectly timed CROSSROADS that had us meet and become friends.  Friends that laughed, cried, and hugged.  My life has been blessed to have known you, my very own angel.xx"

I used chalkboard paint for the border of this page and then a white marker over the top.

I don't always have the opportunity to use flowers, but these colors together are so pretty.

I was so in love with this bicycle from Prima I have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to use it.

I used Shimmerz Dazzelerz - Licorice Stick and a stencil to create the crosses in the background.

Building Sandcastles

Hi There,

I hope you are all enjoying your Easter Holidays.

I just love not having to pack lunches.

It's the simple things really.

Today I would like to share with you a layout I created

using Shimmerz Paints.

I love the colors in this layout and how it turned out.

I used the Kaisercraft Coastal Escape Collection.

And real shells from our trip to the beach.

I don't usually use flowers on a boys layout, but I love the result.

The Shimmerz Products I used are:

Shimmerz Spritz - Rock-a-fella Blue

CSI Case File 194 - Monster Truck Kid

Hey There Friends,

Today I am sharing with you a layout I created

using CSI: Color Stories Inspiration

Case File 194.

This pic is from a camping trip with our friends.

We took a box of Monster Trucks for our boys to play with.

Our friends boy, Denzel, loved them.

They were never out of his hand.

My Evidence is:  Stars, Cars (The Monster Truck), Something Loopy (the doodled circles) and Numbers.

My Testimony is:  Journal about a favourite toy or game.

Here are some close-ups:

I used a silhouette file for the Monster Truck.

I also used a real Monster Truck to stamp the tyre tracks onto the page.  Was so happy with how that turned out.

I think I have said it before, but just in case

I love Clique Kits and "Hot Mess" is AWESOME!!!

Here is a layout I created using the Hot Mess Kit.

I am not usually a pink and yellow person

but I loved how this color combo turned out.

I used cut outs, embellishments, papers

the alphabet stickers (LOVE!!!).

I did use a new Shimmerz Aqua Huez watercolor - Pot -o-Gold

to color the roses in on the black and white paper.

Case File 191 - Future Heartbreaker

Hello Friends,

My turn for another Case File over at 

CSI: Color Stories Inspiration.

Case File 191.

With some colors I would not normally choose,

but I was so happy with the outcome.

This is my gorgeous nephew Hamish, 

who visited at Christmas time.

He has these gorgeous big eyes and the longest lashes.

My evidence is:  Stripes, Stars, Hearts and Watercolors.

My Testimony is:  Journal on painted or written lines (top right hand corner).

Lots of doodling on this layout.

I used a stencil and some Shimmerz Texturez paint 

the color is Gold Rush.
