Capture the Moment

Hello Friends,

Today I would like to share with you some Girly Steampunk.  Just to mix it up a little.

I will be using the Steampunk new releases, but going with some more feminine colours.

My first share is a layout I created.

I tried to keep the colours Pink, Black and White with a touch of Gold.

Here you can see that I used the Honeycomb Stamp to provide a border around the entire layout.

I turned the Suspended Time Chipboard sideways to go under the photo.

Then I added the #fantastic from the #surreal Chipboard pack.

Here you can see the Steampunk Key Corner Chipboard.  I love this.

I also cut out a Light Bulb from the Light Bulb Transparency.  You get 9 different Light Bulbs on the 1 sheet.

Then I finished off by using the Capture the Moment Title.

Memories Together

Hi There Lovelies,

I desperately need to do some blog catch up, so prepare to be having a month of contact inspiration.

This layout I created for Kaisercraft using the Documented Collection.  I had been holding onto the photo for the perfect colours to enhance the sepia old photograph of my hubby's grandparents.

I love how this one turned out.  Lots of background detail and I created my own background stamp using a Kaisercraft Alphabet stamp.

I used this stencil and whipped spackle first.

I allow this to dry naturally.

Using a dry brush, I add some White Gesso to the centre of the page and then also allow it to dry naturally.

To create the above affect, I use a combination of the IP719 Ink Pad – Black and a Tim Holtz Distress Ink Oxide – Vintage Photo.  Using a piece of empty packaging plastic, I add some of the ink and then stamp in the section I would like it to go, focusing more on the areas where the gesso is and around where the photo will be.

Using CS785 Clear Stamp – Typewriter Font and an acrylic block, add some letters in random spots on the block to create an alphabet stamp.

I wanted add another pop of colour, so I use IP723 Ink Pad – Vintage and the Ruler from CS319 Clear Stamp – Documented.

From here it was a matter of finishing with various Patterned Paper, Collectables and Die Cuts from the Documented Collection.

The Title “Memories Together” came from SS355 Sticker Sheet – Document Collection.

Tearing sheets of Patterned Paper give this layout a vintage feel.

Born To Dance

Who doesn't love to dance, really?

I know I still do, but back when I was little, you couldn't stop me!

This layout was created for Scrap FX Australia 
using Chipboard, Silhouettes

and the Kaisercraft - Indigo Skies Collection.

These Fancy Feather Silhouettes from Scrap FX are 

just so intricate and delicate, but perfect for this layout.

I used a Tinby Designs Colour Crush - Deep Ocean for the 

title - Born to Dance.

Adventure Ahead

Hi There Friends,

Today is my very first blog post with Kaisercraft

as a Design Team Member.

I just love everything about the Factory 42 Collection, 

so I thought it was fitting to create something with one of my boys.

My eldest boy Jackson is 10, and growing up way too quickly.

Here are some close-ups:

I used the clear stamps from the Factory 42 Collection, 

the different sized cogs

along the left and right of the page.

Lots of layers and dimension on this layout.

There were lots of quotes to choose from in this collection 

but the above quote really suited my boy.

So much adventure ahead.

My Dad - My Hero

Hi There Friends,

Over on the Kaisercraft blog there is an 

August Challenge currently in play.

This month it is all about Cogs.

Create a layout, card or tag using cogs.

Perfect to go along with the new release Factory 42 Collection.

Here is my take on the challenge.

I just love this collection!

I have created several layouts and a couple of tags with this collection already.

Here are some close-ups:

The Factory 42 Collection - Collectables have 

so many funky cogs to play with.

Perfect for all those masculine layouts, but could 

also be used for female layouts too.

Very versatile.

Summer Fun

Hi There Friends,

So excited to be sharing the very first layout

I have created as part of the Scrap FX Design Team.

I had heaps of fun playing with the chipboard

and stencil from Scrap FX.

Here are some close-ups:

I used the Chevron Stencil and some texture paste

to create my background.

I coated the chipboard with white gesso,

before I coloured it up.  I used the Summer Fun B

title and used an ombre effect to paint it.

The Curly Arrows are now a favourite of mine.

Lots of layers and bright colours.

I used the Simple Stories - Summer Paradise Collection.
