Have Courage and Be Kind

Hi Friends,

My layout share today is all about the quote that inspired me:

"Have Courage and Be Kind"

It is also my last post as a Shimmerz Educator.

I have loved every minute that I have been a part of the team,

more like family though.

I used a Scrap FX Crosswords Stencil with Shimmerz Paste-eez - Lava Flow to create the background.

As well as some cute heart using 

Shimmerz Paste-eez - Puttin' On The Glitz.

The splatters were created by using:

Shimmerz Coloringz - Oh Say Can You Sea

Shimmerz Coloringz - Night Moves

Shimmerz Spritz - Cotton Candy

and Shimmerz - Bubblegum Blast

I used the Kaisercraft Wildflower Collection for this layout.

I am coming to you from school holidays here in Australia.

School Holidays mean lots of creative time at home.

My favourite kind of days.

Which sometimes require me not getting out of PJ's!!

I am sharing with you today,

a card I made for a very special friend of mine,

who is not too far off having a baby.

I created this card using Shimmerz Coloringz 

and Shimmerz AcriTonez.

I used a Silhouette Cut File to create the title,

and I colored a chipboard 'G' using Shimmerz AcriTonez.

all handmade from paper I created.

I thought I would take advantage of 

having power, while we are in the middle of a

cyclone here in Far North Queensland, Australia.

What a massive storm Cyclone Debbie is!!

But we are safe for now, that is the main thing.

With that said I wanted to share with you a layout

I created for Shimmerz Paints.

I have used loads of yummy colors

and the Fancy Pants Designs - True Friend Collection.

In the Fancy Pants Designs - True Friends Collection,

there was a multi colored triangle page.

I cut the triangles out, then cut the centres of them out.

That was you can still see the layered background through them.

Some stitching for some fun!

Add some splatters.

The Many Faces of Lucas

Hope you are having a fabulous weekend!

Today I am sharing a layout I created

using CSI: Color Stories Inspiration

Case File 216.

My little man, Lucas, has a million faces.

Here are three!!

My Evidence is: Texture, Skulls and Asterisks.

My Testimony is:  Personality Prompt - Faces.

"Your face can tell a million stories.  You have so 

much charisma. Your face tells me when you are happy, sad,

faking it, in trouble, upset, frustrated and cheeky.

I love them all. xx"

Good Afternoon Friends,

I have had a layout on my desk for the last week at least.

Not for any other reason than enjoying

adding to it and watching it come together.

And I love to play with my Clique Kit!!

This Clique Kit was September 2016

Moon Child.

I used Shimmerz Paints:

Case No. 185 - Dreaming of Paris

Hi There Friends,

Seriously, who doesn't dream of Paris?

Well I do.

I love the history, the architecture, the art and the food.

I had the opportunity to scrapbook this love

using the CSI: Color Stories Inspiration

Case File 185.

My favourite colors are featured in this case file.

This photo of the Eiffel Tower was a wallpaper, screen saver.

I thought it was perfect for the Case File.

Case File 182 - I Can't Hear You!

Hi There Lovelies,

Today I will be sharing with you this layout I made

using the Case File 182 from

CSI: Color Stories Inpsiration.

This is my niece Madelyn.  She is gorgeous.

I asked if I could take a photo of her and she put her hands over

her ears and said "I Can't Hear You!!"

I loved this challenge and these are colors that I would

not usually use on a layout.

That is the best thing about the CSI color palettes.

It really has you thinking outside the box.

I used a stencil and texture paste to make a large polka dot pattern.

My Evidence is:

using the word sweet as inspiration for my journaling.

Case File 181 - My Boys

Hi There,

So excited to show you my first layout as a 

CSI Detective.

I just love the colors in this Case File.

I had to create a layout with my little men.

Here are some close ups:

I have used the Light Craft color with the Cogs.

Black in the background, title and cogs.

Brick Red in the background, cogs, paper and string.

Turquoise on the frame, title, background and cogs.

Ivory has been used around the title and in the paper rulers.

My Evidence is:  Kraft Background, Frames, Stamps, Gears/Cogs

and string.

My Testimony is in the Presentation:  I have handwritten the journaling directly onto the background.

With this case file I got to use the amazing sketch created by 

The Nifty Pixel.

I flipped the sketch and used the photos to the left.

My Happy Planner - Weekly Layout

Hello there,

Today I wanted to share with you a video tutorial of my latest obsession.

PLANNING!!!

I am hooked!

I recently purchased a Happy Planner, from Me & My Big Ideas.

I am in love!!

The thing that appealed to me was the layout and the thickness of each page.

I have so many ideas.

And I get to use all my favourite Shimmerz products.

So here is my first attempt.

I went with a circus theme, who doesn't love a circus?

I loved playing with my Shimmerz.

I love to add some texture.

It all just makes me happy, and extremely organised, which I love.
